Our story
An atelier built around the quiet luxury of the villa terrace.
Verdant Terrace Studio began with a simple conviction: that the finest villas deserve outdoor spaces designed with the same intention as their interiors. We are a landscape atelier devoted to terraces and gardens for premium homes along the French Riviera, and our work sits at the meeting point of horticulture, stone craft, and the art of living well outdoors. Each garden we shape is treated as an extension of the house, a series of open rooms where architecture softens into planting and where the coastal light is invited to play across paving, foliage, and water. We do not chase passing trends; instead we look for the enduring qualities that make a terrace feel timeless, comfortable, and unmistakably rooted in its place.
Our approach is grounded in listening. Before a single line is drawn we spend time on the property, watching how the sun travels, feeling where the breeze settles, and understanding the daily rituals of the people who live there. From that patient observation we develop landscapes that respond to real life: shaded corners for long lunches, fragrant thresholds that greet arrivals, secluded terraces for quiet mornings, and generous platforms for evening gatherings. We choose resilient Mediterranean planting and honest, tactile materials so that the garden matures gracefully and remains kind to both its climate and its keepers. Every detail, from the grade of a step to the placement of a lavender drift, is considered in service of atmosphere.
Over the years our studio has grown into a close team of designers, horticulturists, and craftspeople who share a devotion to precision and calm. We collaborate openly with owners, architects, and estate managers, guiding each project from first sketch through planting and into the seasons that follow. What unites everything we do is a belief that a garden is never truly finished on the day it is planted; it is a living composition that deepens with time. Our greatest satisfaction comes from returning to a terrace years later and finding it settled, self-assured, and cherished, exactly as a great villa landscape should be.
